Bachmann Andersen started riding at the age of 10 and became interested in dressage after meeting Danish Olympic athlete Morten Thomsen. He later trained horses in Germany. He became Danish national champion in 2019, coming fourth at the World Cup finals in Gothenburg.

Bachmann Andersen wins a team gold medal at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark.
